Lang Application

#1 Post by Bigg Cheese » Tue Jan 18, 2005 5:29 pm

Name: Joe Repasky

Age: 20

Location: Waveland, IN (good luck finding it on a map)

I found lang as the lowest pinging server by random search :)

I like Cheese as #1.. "behold the power of cheese!" I like the lang server pretty well. The members are nice, for the most part :).

I dislike playing in clans. I tried it for a while, but it is simply too time-consuming to attend clan matches when you work two jobs and go to college full-time.

I have pretty well been obsessed about computers/technology as long as I can remember. Been PC gaming for nearly ten years. I currently have less than one year left at Ivy Tech State College, and have already acquired A+ Certification.

I should be allowed to join lang because I'm cool. Nah. I just want to be able to identify(and be identified by) (visibly) people who I play with frequently... Of course, I'm still cool, at least to myself.

Heya Cheese!

The best way to further your chances of joining Lang is to frequent the forums and get on Vent. (IRC is always nice to) You must let us get to know you. Lang is all about having a good time while playing and gaining some friends along the way.

BIGG!!! Hey man! It's awesome to see you apply.

Hey, since you frequent the server so much, you should really get on the Vent server when you play ...and I know you have a mic ...and we spam the ip all the time, so there's no excuse not to. Hehe. Also, there's a bunch of regulars that always get on when they play (Drew, Spike, Scapa, Numer...and of course us Langs)

I love tech stuff too. I took an A+ cert. class last year, but never got around to taking the test because I don't have enough money to.

But yeah, I wish you the best of luck, and keep killing w/ that p90 you've mastered.

Just got on Vent for the first time yesterday. I think I might have accidentally been unintentionally silent to drew and Java. Been using teamspeak for a while, but had to play around for a while before i realized that i ACTUALLY have to push a key to speak with vent :).

Oops?

You don't absolutely have to. There is a way to set it up so it recognizes when you speak. I should be on later (if I'm not nappping, I'm dead right now), and if you are too, I'll help you set it up to your liking.

I've read about the auto-noise-detect transmitting option it has... but I'm told it may cut you off when you first start speaking. In any case, I've got it set up to transmit when I press Mouse 4 on my Intellimouse. Quite handy, actually.

and yes, I am just short of having the p90 surgically attached to my arm in place of a hand. I am one with the p90. :P

That's what I use (button/mouse), and is it the nightvision one?
