V= (4/3)pi(r^3)

given that dr/dt is a constant, and the radius decreases -1in/28min,

dV/dt is what you're looking for

so

dV/dt=4pi(r^2)dr/dt

you know that r is 7 so it dV/dt should be decreasing at a rate of -7pi/min...

The jawbreaker will be gone in about an hour...???

you don't have time in your volume equation, but its somehow in the derivitive of it

it needs to directly affect the radius too, thats why i said (r - t/28)^3

the jaw breaker will be gone when its radius is 0

r = 7, r - t/28 = 0, t = 175 minutes, almost 3 hours

That acid-spitting ninjas video is strangely reminiscient of the summer get-together pics Java posted today. Except the acid spit up in those pics was too diluted with alcohol to melt people. Good thing, too because woulda melted himself... twice.
