Hey Pemdas, good luck.

By the way, if you like Sterling for scifi, check out Neal Stephenson. Snow Crash and Diamond age are among the best modern scifi imho.

Yeah Douglas Adams :D
"West Berliners who will not in future be able to visit their gardens or other property in East Berlin and the DDR can complain to the guilty party- the city council of West Berlin- and ask them for compensation."
-The Soviet Ministry of Internal Affairs

"That`s true enough," said Candide, "but we must go and work in the garden." -Voltaire

He's not exactly modern cause he died over 10 years ago, but if you havent already, check out some anthony burgess. He wrote the book version of A Clockwork Orange. but he wrote alot of other cool sci-fi books, one good one i read in particular was "The Wanting Seed".

Yah, I read Cryptonomicon, and liked it, but it was kind of draining to read, in a way. I'm not sure why. At any rate, I haven't tackled anything else of his yet. :)

I think maybe you're confusing authors. Stephenson is still alive and kicking. That, or the writer of this article is smoking something seriously powerful. :) I've heard good things about Burgess, haven't read anything by him yet, tho'.
