years of playing on needlefeast? but ET isn't even 2 years old :) Maybe he's got, like, 10 machines all set up, and he plays on NF with all of them at once. Then he'd only have to play for a few months before having years of playing time on NF. Or maybe I'm too tired to find a good joke in there. :)

By the way, if you like Sterling for scifi, check out Neal Stephenson. Snow Crash and Diamond age are among the best modern scifi imho. Yah, I read Cryptonomicon , and liked it, but it was kind of draining to read, in a way. I'm not sure why. At any rate, I haven't tackled anything else of his yet....
